Camera Found...Mystery Quilt Picture Posted

I finally found my camera!  It was in my car.  I have purchase a new camera.  I am sure I will keep better tabs on it than I did the other one.  It is also bigger, so (hopefully) harder to loose.
Anyway, I posted a picture of the Mystery Quilt in the pages above.  You should be able to click on the link and see it.  The name of the quilt is Trail Mix.  It came from the book "Scrap-Lovers' Quilts" by Better Homes and Gardens.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone else's quilts!  I hope you have enjoyed doing this Mystery Quilt as much as I have.  I have not quilted mine yet, but it is on my list of Quilts to Quilt.
I have downloaded all the pictures that were on my camera to my computer, so I will be posting pictures from our meeting soon.  I don't have time right now.  I need to get to Quilter's Journey.  This is 3rd Saturday Sampler day and we will have several ladies coming in soon.
More later!
Happy Quilting!

Mystery Quilt is Posted

The Mystery Quilt is posted.  All the Parts, piecing the top, and adding the borders.  Remember, you can change anything you want on your quilt.  I just posted the way it was in the book.  The pattern for the quilt came from the book "Scrap-Lover's Quilts" from Better Homes and Gardens.  I am so glad I made this quilt.  I had it marked to do a long time ago.  Doing it as a Mystery Quilt made me stay with it, even though I got behind some months because of that full-time job I have.  But I got caught up and finished the top in time to show you at the June meeting.  I hope you have enjoyed doing this.  Maybe there will be another one next year.  What do you think?  Another Mystery Quilt next year?  If so, I'd better get started looking for one...unless someone else wants to do it.  If you do, just let me know.  I will be happy to let you do it.
Now to find my camera and post a picture of my finished Mystery Quilt top.  It is now on my list of things to get quilted this summer.  I have a long list!  And, people keep bringing me stuff to quilt for them!
Well, haven't found my camera yet.  Will look more later.  When I find it, I will post pictures of my Mystery Quilt and the other pictures from the June Guild meeting.

Happy Quilting!

Meeting and Next UFO

We had a great meeting Monday night!  Audrey had the program and she showed us how to make Anita's Arrow blocks and showed different ways to piece them together to get different secondary patterns.  Great job, Audrey!
We had several finishes on the UFO list.  I will post pictures later.  Our next UFO that is due in August is #3.  You can click on the UFO List tab above to find out what quilt you listed as #3.  I am going to get started early this time.  I want to get both of mine done.  I have finished all the quilts on my "Small Quilts" list, but not the "Large Quilts".  I would not have finished my small quilt this time if I had not quilted it months ago.  I just put the binding on last week.
Not only did we have a lot of UFO finishes, we had lots of Show & Tell.  Great job, ladies, on all that you finished!  We had some quilts finished for the Wounded Warriors project.
The blocks are cut for the Russell House raffle quilt.  Several of you purchased blocks and are ready to sew.  Thank you, for being so willing to contribute!  If you did not get a block to sew, you can pick one up at Quilter's Journey.  They are $5.00 + tax, which is $5.26.  All the pieces are cut and ready to sew.  Just remember, I placed them in the bag in order by their letter.  Piece A is on top, right behind the paper.  If you get your pieces mixed up, you will have to bring them to me so I an figure out what goes where.  I cannot do it over the phone!  I cut two of each block and each one is with different fabrics.  These are 6" blocks.  Please make sure you are sewing a 1/4" seam.  Thanks, again, for taking this endeavor on.
The Mystery Quilt was revealed at the meeting.  I finished my top.  (Now to find time to quilt it.  It is NOT going to be another UFO!!)  I will post the finishing instructions as soon as I can get the picture (drawing) scanned into my computer (and not loose it!).  By the way, the pattern is called Trail Mix.  It is from a book on scrap quilts.  Don't remember the title, but will post it when I find the book.  I may have left it in the car.
Well, I need to get off of here.  I am headed to Lake of the Ozarks today for a conference for school this afternoon.  I still need to pack.
Have a great week!  Hope you find some time to do some sewing, even if it is between stirring the pot on the stove while fixing dinner.  (I've done this before and my husband then takes over the cooking!)
Happy Quilting!
