Meeting and Next UFO

We had a great meeting Monday night!  Audrey had the program and she showed us how to make Anita's Arrow blocks and showed different ways to piece them together to get different secondary patterns.  Great job, Audrey!
We had several finishes on the UFO list.  I will post pictures later.  Our next UFO that is due in August is #3.  You can click on the UFO List tab above to find out what quilt you listed as #3.  I am going to get started early this time.  I want to get both of mine done.  I have finished all the quilts on my "Small Quilts" list, but not the "Large Quilts".  I would not have finished my small quilt this time if I had not quilted it months ago.  I just put the binding on last week.
Not only did we have a lot of UFO finishes, we had lots of Show & Tell.  Great job, ladies, on all that you finished!  We had some quilts finished for the Wounded Warriors project.
The blocks are cut for the Russell House raffle quilt.  Several of you purchased blocks and are ready to sew.  Thank you, for being so willing to contribute!  If you did not get a block to sew, you can pick one up at Quilter's Journey.  They are $5.00 + tax, which is $5.26.  All the pieces are cut and ready to sew.  Just remember, I placed them in the bag in order by their letter.  Piece A is on top, right behind the paper.  If you get your pieces mixed up, you will have to bring them to me so I an figure out what goes where.  I cannot do it over the phone!  I cut two of each block and each one is with different fabrics.  These are 6" blocks.  Please make sure you are sewing a 1/4" seam.  Thanks, again, for taking this endeavor on.
The Mystery Quilt was revealed at the meeting.  I finished my top.  (Now to find time to quilt it.  It is NOT going to be another UFO!!)  I will post the finishing instructions as soon as I can get the picture (drawing) scanned into my computer (and not loose it!).  By the way, the pattern is called Trail Mix.  It is from a book on scrap quilts.  Don't remember the title, but will post it when I find the book.  I may have left it in the car.
Well, I need to get off of here.  I am headed to Lake of the Ozarks today for a conference for school this afternoon.  I still need to pack.
Have a great week!  Hope you find some time to do some sewing, even if it is between stirring the pot on the stove while fixing dinner.  (I've done this before and my husband then takes over the cooking!)
Happy Quilting!
